See accessplanit challenge traditional thinking on e-learning and LMS
Lancaster, UK » 16 Jan 2012 » Training Press Releases » AccessPlanit
Software development house for the training and development industry, accessplanit, will tackle one of the ‘hot topics’ for 2012 at the Learning Technologies Conference and Exhibition when the event launches at the end of January.
January presents the perfect opportunity to look ahead, and Business Development Manager at accessplanit, Andrew Flook, sees the conference session as an opportunity to present the current limitations of learning management systems (LMS), and how only a small section of businesses are actually marketing, selling and delivering their learning content via their LMS in an effective way.
The seminar, Learning Commerce and the Extended Enterprise, will acknowledge the fact that a growing number of businesses are finally making use of e-learning as a platform to drive up customer loyalty and identifying new revenue streams, but will also ask why so few companies use LMS to effectively manage external or ‘for profit’ learning.
Attendees will hear about an elite group of companies who are opting for the latest technology when it comes to selling and marketing their training programmes, and receive practical steps to successfully implementing the software.
Dave Evans, commercial director at accessplanit, explains: “We have called upon our experience in software development as well as all the conversations we have with our training and course provider clients, to put the content together for what will be a lively and insightful seminar. Any business that currently uses an LMS and e-learning, or is thinking about integrating a system, should attend this seminar.”
The session will also target those looking to start using more advances learning software, covering the issue of how to get started with eCommerce, and how to ensure your business is getting the most from the software.
The accessplanit-led seminar, Learning Commerce and the Extended Enterprise, will take place at the Learning Technologies Conference and Exhibition at 2.45pm on Wednesday 25 January in Theatre 3. Now in its 13th year, the London Olympia event is Europe’s leading IT-supported workplace learning showcase. Across the two days there will be more than 220 exhibitors and 120 free seminars.
