London » 24 Jan 2012 » Training Press Releases » Balance Learning

Visitors to London's Learning Technologies exhibition will be able to try out Balance Learning's new range of interactive eBooks on Stand 24.

Visitors to Stand 24 at Learning Technologies will be able to view Balance Learning's unique learning "Takeaway" that really makes a difference in retaining knowledge and applying new skills:

"We know that in the past customers have spent money on eLearning only to see the new knowledge lost because people had little or nothing to help them remember or apply it," says Chris Horseman, Balance Learning's MD.

"Our interactive eBooks appeal to today's learners who use technology naturally to communicate and learn. They work on mobile technology as well as PCs; chunked into bitesize summaries, guides and checklists so they deliver just enough, just in time; and they use interactivity to help learners make decisions and create action plans, to engage them in planning and reviewing their own performance."

"We're excited to be demonstrating these additions to our eLearning portfolio at Learning Technologies and look forward to getting feedback from the L&D community"

Balance Learning's Interactive eBooks are being published for all the current eLearning titles including Leadership and Teamwork, Coaching for Performance, Giving and Receiving Feedback, Effective Meetings etc. They are invaluable companions to the eLearning courses and are also being purchased as stand-alone work support tools.

Interactive eBooks features include:

  • Memory Aids - quick reference summaries of all material covered in the course to refresh your memory just before that critical Coaching session, Presentation or Meeting.
  • Action planning forms you can fill in, save and print - to review current skills, set goals, plan development and monitor progress and help you stay on the right track when trying out new ideas.
  • Assessment checklists - designed to help apply critical thinking and make assessments before taking key decisions.

Each learner's unique personalised copy provides a record of learning, complete with notes, checklists and plans. Sections can be printed or viewed on a PC, iPad/iPhone or other mobile device as a work support tool.

Visitors to Learning Technologies are being offered Interactive eBooks free with Balance Learning course purchases made before April 30th 2012.

Engaging off-the-shelf eLearning courseware for Customer Service, Management, Personal Development and Compliance training.
