Leading provider of learning and talent management solutions, e2train, and Nissan Europe have won an award at the Learning Awards 2012 ceremony which took place at The Dorchester in London on 2 February 2012. Organised by the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI), the annual Learning Awards recognise outstanding examples of innovation, excellence and best practice in learning and development.

e2train and Nissan received a Bronze award in the Learning Technologies Solution category for their technology-enabled learning solution which played a fundamental role in supporting the launch of three new cars, including the Nissan Leaf – the world’s first modern day practical fully electric powered saloon car.

The award recognised the innovative use of e2train’s Kallidus system combined with a high quality blend of face-to-face learning and e-learning to provide learners with the best technical product knowledge possible. The solution enabled Nissan to accelerate the learning of 12,000 personnel across 23 countries, resulting in training costs being reduced by 40% and showroom sales greatly exceeding expectation.

Said Rob Caul, Managing Director of e2train:

The Learning Awards are extremely competitive and we are delighted that the learning solution we developed in partnership with Nissan has been recognised by the judging panel for its quality, innovation and the tangible business benefits it has delivered including reduced training costs and increased sales revenues.”

Now in their 15th year, the Learning Awards have become firmly established as a benchmark for excellence throughout the learning industry. This year the LPI received a record number of entries for the awards - up 50% on last year.
