Risk Intelligence - How to live with uncertainty

Dylan Evans of Projection Point, the leading provider of risk intelligence solutions, will give a sneak preview of his new book at the forthcoming Learning Technologies exhibition on 25 and 26 January in London.
Dylan's presentation runs at 15.15 on Thursday 26 January in Theatre 6 on the Learning Technologies exhibition floor, Dylan will introduce some of the exciting findings discussed in his book “Risk Intelligence: How to live with uncertainty,” which will be published in April by Free Press:
- There is a special kind of intelligence for dealing with risk and uncertainty.
- It doesn’t correlate with IQ, and most psychologists have failed to spot so far it because it is found in such a disparate, rag-tag group of people - American weather-forecasters, professional gamblers, and hedge-fund managers, for example.
- Many people in positions which require high risk intelligence - doctors, financial regulators and bankers, for instance - seem unable to navigate what Dylan Evans calls the “darkened room”, the domain of doubt and uncertainty.
- When a doctor tells you that there’s a 90% chance you’re suffering from a particular ailment, the real chance is probably closer to 15%.
Dylan will also unveil some of the new solutions developed by his company, Projection Point, to help organizations and individuals improve their risk intelligence.
