How Serco uses learning technology in global software projects

Successful software application roll-outs: how Serco is using learning technology to achieve RoI from its global software projects - a presentation at the Learning Technologies exhibition.
Carmel Keswick, Serco Global Training Manager, is presenting at the forthcoming Learning Technologies exhibition on 25 January in London on how Serco is using learning technology in its software roll-outs.
Serco’s global SAP-enabled HR transformation programme, Empower, impacts 100,000 employees across 30 countries stained return on investment from a major investment such as Empower: lack of end user confidence and competence in the use of the new system and business processes.
Carmel will describe how Serco is using learning technology from Assima to achieve greater success whilst reducing risk and cost by:
- Eliminating the need for costly training environments
- Developing truly life-like SAP simulations for at desk and classroom training
- Providing, from the same single simulation source, ongoing support materials for BAU training requirements
- Delivering, from the same single simulation source, translated and localised training materials for deployment across multiple business units, countries and languages
- Deploying and managing role-based training curricula, tracking user activity, course completion and competence.
This seminar runs in theatre 4 on the Learning Technologies exhibition floor at 11.00 on day one of the upcoming Learning Technologies and Learning and Skills events on 25 and 26 January. It is one of 120 free-of-charge seminars taking place across nine seminar theatres. The full programme of seminars is available online:
