Colleges achieve their LSC National Learner Survey targets thanks to QDP - LSC student survey link

Earlier this academic year *20 colleges and training providers used QDP Services to collect the LSC National Learner Survey (NLS) data at the same time as their own learner feedback. Thanks to this online survey facility, these learning and training providers were not only collecting highly valuable learner opinions for quality assurance but they had more control over the NLS data collection.
QDP survey data reveals: UK Employers satisfied with training their employees receive

QDP Services has revealed employer satisfaction figures based on opinions of 5,469 employers from 56 education and training providers nationwide. The results show that most employers are very happy with the training services available to them and their employees.

After listening to concerns raised by many further education providers, the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) has allowed independent learner surveys to be run at the same time as their own National Learner Survey. This is great news for Quality Improvement professionals and the sector as a whole.

Ofsted’s revised Common Inspection Framework dictates that the progress of learners who have completed their courses becomes an “essential indicator” of a providers’ success and recommends that learner destination data is collected and made part of self assessment. QDP benchmarking reports of learner opinions support quality improvement of training providers across the UK

The reports are designed to support self assessment and quality improvement and provide independent data for inspection.

City College Manchester has become the country's first training contract holder to reap the benefits of employing QDP to survey their learners. Around 5000 offenders in 42 institutions across the Midlands, the North West and Yorkshire have taken part in the survey conducted in October 2007.

Recently, the company has been approached by the Stafford Collegiate to develop and run a set of learner surveys, dealing specifically with the students' experience of the Collegiate's collaborative activity. The surveys will take place in the Academic Year 2007-08.
