Experts Unwrap Best Practice to Successful Virtual Learning
London, UK » 20 Jan 2012 » Training Press Releases » Redtray Solutions Ltd
Specialists from the learning and development sector will reveal tips for best practice in live online training at the Learning Technologies show on Thursday 26 January.
Industry experts from Towards Maturity and Bank of New York Mellon will share their experience and knowledge on training in the cloud during a seminar organised by business training provider REDTRAY. They will share results from a recent study into the UK’s adoption of cloud technologies for training and present a case study with practical tips for managing live online learning projects.
The seminar, Best practice for live online learning — training in the cloud, will be hosted on the second day of the event in Theatre 5 at 11:45. Vicky Jones, Head of Technology at REDTRAY says, “We’ve chosen this topic because we believe adoption of the cloud in business is about to go mainstream and we’re now at a tipping point.”
She continues, “But many professionals from the training industry are concerned about cloud technology. This fear comes from their unfamiliarity with this new approach to learning. We’re hoping our seminar will show them the potential live online learning holds and how to use it to their best advantage.”
Laura Overton, Managing Director at Towards Maturity, says that people’s level of experience in using virtual learning technologies changes their attitude. She explains, “This study into live online learning, which we’ve conducted with REDTRAY, reveals that businesses which take a mature attitude to the cloud are achieving more success with it.”
David Havis, BNY Mellon’s L&D Support Manager, will explain how cloud-based training works in practice by presenting a case study based on a major business integration project involving 15,000 people in 36 countries around the world.
Everyone who attends the seminar will walk away with practical tips for successful live online learning projects and learn interesting facts about how the cloud technology is being used by organisations in the UK.
All attendees will also have the opportunity to take an active part in a poll, being in with a chance to win an experience worth up to £100!
