Shelter and Cancer Research UK to benefit from STAR Consulting Christmas survey
Star Consulting

8-Dec-2004 » Training Press Releases » Instead of sending Christmas cards this December, STAR Consulting - the learning solutions provider - will be conducting a survey of the UK's training managers. The survey will ask people their opinions on the most important training issues for 2005. For each genuine response STAR Consulting receives, £1 pound will be donated to Cancer Research UK and Shelter.

STAR Consulting conducted a similar survey in 2003 via the company's Website, asking questions such as, 'What's the most important training management topic for you in 2004?' and 'Which areas will you increase and decrease expenditure on in 2004?'.

Regarding the 2003 survey, Denise Peck, Community Fundraiser at Cancer Research UK said: "Thank you very much for your kind donation... raised by donating £1 for every survey completed. This is such a fantastic idea and obviously a great success."

Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to researching the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer.

Alan Gosschalk, Director of Fundraising at Shelter said: "Bad housing is wrecking lives but through your continued support and our dedication and energy this can change... Thank you so much for your generous gift... It will make a real difference to people living in bad housing."

Shelter works to end homelessness and bad housing in Britain through campaigning, fundraising and promoting good practice in the housing sector.

Gabrielle Gardner, STAR Consulting's Managing Director, said: "Rather than waste money on corporate Christmas cards, we want to do something a bit more meaningful. Our annual Christmas survey is a great way of gauging the mood of the country's training professionals while raising money for charity."

"We'll be sending out emails to training managers in December, inviting them to take part in the survey. Other training managers who want to be involved can register on the STAR Consulting website. We'll send a report on the results to all interested participants."
