QDP's Schools pilot provides platform for launch of QDP Services Feedback for Secondary Schools

6-Dec-2007 » Training Press Releases » Following a successful pilot survey of Year 12 students in schools across the UK, QDP is ready to launch a range of surveys for schools covering the learner's journey from year 7 to year 13.

The 10 fixed surveys will provide evidence of the learner's perceptions of induction, advice and guidance, transition, on programme and destination, with staff surveys and the voice of parents/carers included in the mix on offer. A separate questionnaire to take the pulse of the five Outcomes for Children will also be available.

On completion of the schools pilot and following several feedback forums, QDP have been able to re-tune the product and service to ensure they deliver exactly what the schools need when they need it. Clare Bowyer, QDP's production and customer services manager says: "This is a very exciting development for QDP and we are delighted to have designed, with the help of over 70 schools, a range of products that are extremely accessible to all schools. Because of the smart way we can use technology and our experience in conducting surveys in the education sector, using fixed questionnaires in a fixed approach allows us to pass on enormous cost benefits to schools and to some extent all providers. To highlight what I am saying, whilst a school may wish to purchase a single survey at a time they could also have all 10 for less than a thousand pounds. They will also have benchmarking available not just for learners but for staff, parent/carers and even on Every Child Matters issues!"

The usual ongoing development of these products by QDP will always ensure that they are improved each academic year, informed by customer feedback and market demands, to continue to meet the requirements of schools. Looking ahead, in addition to the year-on-year trend and distance-travelled reports that the school will receive as a standard part of their package, there may well be opportunities to compare results from different types of provider. There are already further developments in the pipeline to add even more value to the QDP Services Feedback for Secondary Schools.
