Global Knowledge and avodaq to Lead the Development, Marketing, Sales and Delivery of Advanced Cisco Unified Communications Training
Global Knowledge | Cary, N.C.

10-Feb-2009 » Training Press Releases » New alliance yields innovative product solutions for UC and collaboration. Two powerhouse training companies and Cisco Learning Solutions Partners (CLSPs), Global Knowledge and avodaq, have created a transformational alliance that provides a deep and broad portfolio of Unified Communications (UC) and collaboration training solutions for their joint customers worldwide. The alliance, which recognizes the strengths of each company, was formed in response to growing market opportunities and changing customer requirements.

Global Knowledge is a leading IT training company with worldwide sales, marketing, and delivery capabilities. avodaq is a leading system integrator and training company that specializes in Cisco advanced UC solutions. The company engages with business units within Cisco to develop the latest in UC products, including video and collaboration.

The alliance creates an unprecedented opportunity for avodaq to focus on its expertise in consulting, systems integration, and course development while Global Knowledge taps its worldwide organization to deliver the training courses. Together, the two companies will develop unified communication products that blanket the entire lifecycle, from early adoption to late majority.

"With avodaq's resources and our delivery mechanism, we can offer enterprise customers a six-to-eight month lead on products that will enable the adoption and integration of the most recent UC and collaboration technologies," said Global Knowledge President and CEO Joseph Cece.

Global Knowledge, a CLSP award winner, will evoke its worldwide marketing, sales, instruction, and training delivery tools to lead the effort to drive Unified Communications training solutions to the market. avodaq will lead all product development requests that originate from Cisco and will leverage its instructors and lab environments in support of training by Global Knowledge. The initial training courses will be offered in classrooms and over the Internet.

"avodaq's unique set of capabilities, field services experience, and cadre of some of the most advanced UC specialists and leaders in the world, position us well to lead the development

aspects of our new alliance," said Robert Schaffner, Vice President, avodaq. The company is the world's first CLSP to offer learners a Unified Communications Master certification.

avodaq will respond to Cisco's direct Unified Communication and Collaboration development needs, while Global Knowledge will respond to training requests from Cisco on behalf of both companies.
