Milliman Care Guidelines improves training of healthcare payors and providors by implementing on-demand training software
Learn.com | Sunrise, FL

2-Apr-2009 » Training Press Releases » Learn.com®, the leader in on-demand workforce development and productivity, announced today that Milliman Care Guidelines LLC, a Milliman Company, the standard-bearer in evidence-based clinical guidelines, has chosen to enhance its training of healthcare providers with an award-winning learning management system, the LearnCenter® platform.

Milliman Care Guidelines will utilize the LearnCenter platform from Learn.com to develop new on-demand training modules, where clients will receive access to comprehensive training on licensed Milliman Care Guidelines® products. This sequential, modular approach to learning will increase retention of new skills and knowledge, while building confidence in the application of the Care Guidelines.

"We had the need to provide our clients with anytime, anywhere access to training on the Care Guidelines," said Donna McNamara, product manager at Milliman Care Guidelines. "The LearnCenter platform was the most comprehensive tool to meet our needs."

Milliman Care Guidelines provides clinical decision support tools used for managing specific patient conditions with appropriate levels of care and optimal progression toward discharge or transition. The Care Guidelines are written and reviewed by experienced physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to describe current best medical practice, recognizing that the unique circumstances of the patient should guide medical decisions. The Care Guidelines provide evidence-based clinical knowledge, enabling more informed, consistent decisions and promoting the best possible care management, while maximizing efficiency in the use of healthcare resources.

"With this new system in place, Milliman Care Guidelines will increase the quality of training to more than 1,000 hospitals, physician groups, health plans, and health managers and continue to improve the efficiency of healthcare nationwide," added McNamara.
