QA gets on the bus for Microsoft Career Express
QA
27-Oct-2009 » Training Press Releases » QA's senior learning consultant, Bob Simms, is joining Microsoft's Career Express tour, running from 26 October to 13 November 2009.
The Career Express is travelling from Milan to Microsoft Tech-Ed Europe in Berlin, stopping in 11 cities on its way hosting events including sneak previews of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, technical training, guidance on careers in technology, signings from Microsoft Press authors and Microsoft Certified Professional community meet-ups.
Simms won his place on the tour following a competition for Microsoft Certified Professionals across Europe, where he impressed with his entry describing his passion for Microsoft training and certification. He explains; "For me, training is the perfect job as it allows me to unite my two chief passions, IT and working with people, in a job that makes a real difference.
"Over the thirteen years I have been a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) I have passed over thirty Microsoft exams and evolved from a trainer that could train a basic course in most Microsoft technologies to a database specialist, dealing almost exclusively in SQL Server training and related products. It's hard work, and a trainer can never rest on his laurels, neither technologically nor in his training techniques, but it's ultimately rewarding. Taking part in Microsoft's Career Express means I can share my passion for Microsoft training with others as it's a great opportunity for individuals to boost their skills, get hands-on experience and make connections within the technology community."
"Microsoft is pleased to stage the Career Express tour to build on the excitement about new Microsoft technologies and give people guidance on how they can sharpen their skills," said Lutz Ziob, general manager, Microsoft Learning. "We've worked hard to make sure that high-quality training is available and accessible. We're seeing unprecedented interest in Windows 7 and want to give those interested the tools they need to amplify their technology expertise."
QA offers a wide range of Microsoft Official Curriculum courses, including the latest Windows 7 courses and Windows Server 2008 training. QA also won the 2009 Microsoft Worldwide Partner award for Learning Solutions - Impact Partner of the Year.
