Pearson VUE Announces Busy European Events Schedule for November
Pearson VUE | London - Strand

28-Oct-2009 » Training Press Releases » Events of this kind are a crucial part of Pearson VUE's calendar. They are a great opportunity for everyone involved in the training and assessment of people to promote best practice in the science of testing and raise awareness of the benefits of assessment.

Global market leader Pearson VUE, the computer-based assessment company, has announced its attendance at a number of key industry events across Europe in the coming weeks.

The first, taking place in Estonia between 2 - 5 November, is the IMTA (International Military Testing Association) Conference where Dr Stefan Bondorowicz, Psychometrician at Pearson VUE (EMEA), will present a paper entitled 'Innovative Items - Measuring Complex Cognitive Skills' to military training managers and psychologists. The Estonian National Defence College will be hosting the event in the beautiful city of Tartu and this will be the first time Pearson has attended the conference in a speaking capacity.

Pearson VUE will also be exhibiting at the FAB (Federation of Awarding Bodies) Conference, taking place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on 4 November. This is the annual conference of the trade body and membership organisation for awarding bodies in the UK. Pearson VUE's Business Development representatives will be available throughout the day to answer any questions about computer-based assessment, and testing in general.

The third conference in which Pearson VUE is involved is the ITSMF (Information Technology Service Management Forum) Conference on 9 and 10 November at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham. The annual conference, which last year was attended by over 1,200 delegates from over 45 nations, will be an opportunity for Pearson VUE to interact with experts from the IT industry to showcase the very latest in testing processes and technologies.

Suzana Lopes, commercial director and vice president of sales and marketing (EMEA) at Pearson VUE, commented:
"Events of this kind are a crucial part of Pearson VUE's calendar. They are a great opportunity for everyone involved in the training and assessment of people to promote best practice in the science of testing and raise awareness of the benefits of assessment."

Ends.
