Key appointments for new year at Brightwave
Brightwave | Brighton, UK

18-Jan-2010 » Training Press Releases » New roles follow recent sister company and product launches at Brighton-based e-learning specialists

'E-Learning Development Company of the Year', Brightwave, today announces three key new appointments to support the company's expansion in both their Brighton and Glasgow offices. The new recruits will support Brightwave, which develops high-impact bespoke e-learning campaigns, and its newly launched sister company, Brightwave Enterprises, which delivers 'ready-to-use' learning and performance services.

Tim Hall joins Brightwave as business development manager and Kate Barker supports Tim as business development executive. Both based in the company's Brighton HQ. Noel McKay joins the Glasgow office as e-learning consultant.

Tim Hall will oversee sales targets for both Brightwave companies, focusing on new and repeat business, as well as developing strategic partnerships. Previously with IRIS software, Henry Howard Finance PLC and Toshiba-Tec Europe, Tim has a strong track record in new business generation following over 14 years in technology and software sales.

Kate Barker will support Tim in building partnerships and delivering new business targets for 2010. She brings sales, marketing and commercial experience, most recently from Sussex County Cricket and Brighton Racehorse and Conference Centre.

At Brightwave's Scottish office in Glasgow, Noel McKay will support regional manager Lesley Matheson as project assistant. Noel comes from a technical, online content development and project management role at a Scottish FE college. He will provide client technical support, help develop new e-learning campaigns, produce training material and support in the full project life-cycle of new e-learning programmes.

Charles Gould, MD at Brightwave, commented on the appointments: "We're delighted to have a wealth of new talent joining Brightwave to ensure we meet our ambitious targets for 2010. These appointments follow the recent launch of Brightwave Enterprises and a number of new products, including the collaborative Local Government E-Learning Service. Demand for e-learning programmes and services continues to grow and we are delighted to be expanding to meet this need."

Tim Hall, new business development manager added: "I'm looking forward to making real impact at Brightwave during a pivotal moment in the company's development - it's good to be part of a truly dynamic team, in a business that has a great future ahead. It will be a pleasure to drive the business's continued growth and success."

As well as the recent launch of Brightwave's Local Government E-Learning Service and Legal Risk E-Learning Service, today's appointments follow recent award wins for Brightwave. At the end of 2009, Brightwave won the Call Centre Awards' 'Most Effective Training Programme' with Sky, as well as the 'E-Learning Development Company of the year' at the E-Learning Awards.

Brightwave is also exhibiting and speaking at the Learning Technologies 2010 show on 27-28 January at Olympia 2, stand number 16 (see www.learningtechnologies.co.uk and http://www.brightwave.co.uk/learning-technologies-2010/
