Kineo and Nikon to share e-learning insights at Learning Technologies Seminar
Kineo | Brighton. UK

19-Jan-2010 » Training Press Releases » Kineo and Nikon will share insights from their recent highly successful product knowledge e-learning and portal collaboration at a free seminar at Learning Technologies on January 27th.

Nikon decided to investigate an alternative approach to face to face training to reach a potential target audience of up to 100,000 store staff.

E-learning offered several potential benefits over Nikon's traditional training approach:

- The ability to reach a wide audience instantaneously
- Cost savings over classroom based training
- Measurable results on take up and performance
- The potential to create a community of Nikon learners

Nikon chose Kineo, the leader in e-learning, as its partner for its first e-learning project. The result was a highly engaging suite of focused product knowledge modules, coupled with an engaging, competitive online game to challenge dealers and motivate them to get to grips with the products. The whole solution was delivered using Moodle, the Open Source LMS, customised and hosted by Kineo.

At this year's Learning Technologies show, Kineo will share insights into the high quality e-learning design and collaborative development approach that achieved great results within Nikon.

The seminar will discuss:

The design and development approach: collaboration and rapid prototyping to keep things moving
The approach to using Moodle to create a custom portal for resellers
The value of a game-based approach to challenge dealers

The free seminar will take place at Leaning Technologies in Olympia 2, Theatre 1 on Wednesday 27th January from 13:45 to 14:15.

Can't wait? Read the Nikon e-learning case study and sample the e-learning.
