EnlightKS and Swedbank reveal system migration secrets of success at Learning Technologies 2010
EnlightKS
| Cambridge, UK
21-Jan-2010 » Training Press Releases » EnlightKS, the European e-learning, e-assessment and performance support specialist, will be sharing a platform with Swedbank, Sweden's leading bank, to talk about their recent success in supporting the migration around 10,000 users from MS Office 2003 to MS Office 2007.
The case study, delivered as part of the exhibition's series of free seminars and to be given on both days, will describe in detail how Swedbank minimised staff downtime for training and reduced its helpdesk loading, during the business-wide system migration to MS Office 2007.
The solution comprised automated testing and online content, a key component being an effective mechanism to ensure staff were only trained in aspects of MS Office that were relevant to their job and with which they were not already familiar.
Key aspects to be explored in this case study include:
- The processes used to conduct the training needs analysis which involved both the creation of a business-wide "blueprint" for skills as well individual role profiles for all users
- The automated creation of personalised development plans based upon learners' role-based needs and existing knowledge
- The use of combined 'train and test' to address many of the knowledge gaps at the point where they are indentified
- The use of in-application testing and the significant added value that this brings to assessment process
- An analysis of the time savings achieved and comparisons with earlier, similar business migration projects
The seminars will be hosted by Lise-Lotte Appelgren of EnlightKS' Professional Services accompanied by Ingrid Hård, Manager for Education at Swedbank. They take place on Wednesday at 3.45pm in Theatre 5 and on Thursday at 2.45pm in Theatre 3.
