IT Training Awards 2011 open for entries - will you be a winner?

Now in their 14th year, the prestigious IT Training Awards are among the greatest accolades in the UK training industry. Each award is judged by an independent panel of judges and presented at the Dorchester Hotel, London in front of over 450 leading industry professionals.

An eagerly anticipated event in the Learning and Development calendar, the awards go only to those who have been able to impress the judges with both a written submission and a live presentation. A total of fourteen awards will be presented to highlight outstanding success across a variety of categories - from learning technologies to leading innovation - and success will set the winners apart as leaders in their field.

Mariel Blom, Trainer at Ricoh Europe was awarded last year's 'Trainer of the Year' title and feels the award has provided multiple benefits. She said: "It was an honour, a great learning curve, a challenge, a lot of fun and it has broadened my horizons! Next to this it has given me access to a melting pot of knowledge through the exposure to other training professionals out there. I would recommend any trainer with a passion for training like myself to participate in the awards!"

This year's categories are as follows:

• Internal Training Project of the Year,
• External Training Project of the Year,
• Learning Technologies Project of the Year,
• Staff Development Project of the Year,
• Learning Innovation of the Year,
• Instructional Designer of the Year,
• Training Manager of the Year,
• Freelance Trainer of the Year,
• Trainer of the Year,
• Training Venue of the Year,
• Colin Corder Award for Contribution to IT training(awarded by the Chief Executive)

About the Institute of IT Training
The Institute of IT Training is a self-governing, not-for-profit professional body for training professionals. It was established in 1995 and since then has grown on an annual basis.
