Details of the Filtered presentations:

Dr. Chris Littlewood, Head of Science at Filtered will present on using algorithms to personalize online learning. Algorithms are now widely used to extract insight from the rich data generated by website users. Their use has spread from search, to marketing and retargeting; but can algorithms be applied usefully to online training? Chris will draw on Filtered’s experience to propose some principles for the application of algorithms to online training.

Seminars will take place on Wednesday 28th January from 13:30 - 14:00 (Learning and Skills Theatre 9) and Thursday 29th January from 10:15 - 10:45 (Learning and Skills Theatre 1).

“Using our adaptive algorithm, Filtered’s platform makes it possible for businesses to personalize the training provision they offer staff,” said Marc Zao-Sanders, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Filtered. "Historically there has been little innovation in corporate training. We are looking forward to attending Learning Technologies 2015 to showcase how our adaptive technology is changing this by helping over 10,000 workers master new skills, and at the same time help businesses address the three key issues facing e-learning: adoption, engagement and impact,” he continued.

Clients who have already used the Filtered platform to train employees include New Look, Regus, the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
