London, UKTraining Press ReleasesFiltered

On 12th and 14th April online training provider Filtered.com will join the AIA to discuss the state of L&D and how training can impact productivity.

Personalized online training specialists Filtered will be joining the Association of International Accountants (AIA) at their next London and Nottingham conferences - respectively on 12th and 14th April.

The events will see Filtered Head of Marketing & PR, Paolo Lenotti, speak about the latest changes in the learning and development industry, the impact training can have on productivity and proficiency, and how benchmarking is imperative in addressing skills gaps.

Filtered have a long standing relationship with the AIA, who use their online courses to train their members in key business and IT skills. Filtered's content is viewed not only as a way of administering structure training but also as a performance support tool for modern knowledge workers, giving them the opportunity to reference areas of the courses relevant to the task they are carrying out on the job.

Ahead of his sessions Paolo commented: "Plenty is changing in education - or at least on the verge of it. At Filtered we are not just passionate about developing the best possible product but are also very keen on making a difference in the wider learning sector. But whilst we are all busy talking about e-learning versus face-to-face, social learning, gamification, 70:20:10, how often do we ask ourselves why learners learn in the first place? How do they do it? And are their learning behaviours considered in the workplace at all?"

"Training your workforce in the key skills relevant to their job role is essential. A report that we commissioned in 2015 showed that 60% of UK workers need key workplace skills to perform their roles effectively yet only 25% receive the training needed. There's been plenty of other reports about the skills gaps and lack of productivity amongst the modern UK workforce and we believe that a personalized approach to training can close the gap."

The events will also include talks from Laura Tomlinson (TME Professional), Neil Wilson (The Pensions Regulator), Paul Rigney and David Cunliffe (Qdos Vantage).
